Our story

Double R Farms is a family-owned business in Bessemer, AL.  Our farm name is a tribute to our two daughters, Railynn and Rayleigh Blackmon. Although they passed away in 2013, their memory lives on through our farm. At our heart, we are a family-run and family-oriented farm dedicated to providing high-quality agribusiness supplies. In everything we do, we honor the memory of our beloved daughters, who tragically passed away in 2013. Their spirit inspires our commitment to uphold the values of love, care, and resilience in our work. We strive to create a nurturing environment for our community—one that reflects the dedication we have to our family and the lives we touch through our products. Since Tamara and I became foster parents in 2020, we use the farm and other businesses to help teach the teenagers we foster work ethic, money managment, responsibility, as well as how to get a long with the public. We also consume the things we grow. Doing our best to offset the cost of having a house full by producing some of our own food.
